Professor Mike Davies
BSc, PhD, DSc, FREng, FICE, FIStructE, MA(Theol)
Managing Director/Founder
Having spent a lifetime in the structural engineering profession Mike is a world leading authority on both Structural Engineering and Cladding Systems, with over 200 technical papers to his name, as well as three books and numerous other publications.
Mike founded SCIT in 2016 as a way to utilise and distribute his vast knowledge and experience, and to help promote better design.

Dr Michael Roberts
Associate
Michael has over ten years working as a professional programmer on Structural Analysis Software, and has recently completed his PhD at the University of Manchester.
Michael works full time developing and testing SCIT’s extensive software library, as well as rapidly establishing himself as a leading academic specialising in plastic design and analysis, and the behaviour of cladding systems as part of a holistic system.

Dr Marcin Gryniewicz
Consultant
Marcin completed his PhD in 2018, which focused on stressed skin action and numerical analysis of clad structures. Since then he has worked at the Białystok University of Technology, as well as designing a range of complex structures utilising novel design techniques.
Marcin collaborates with SCIT on many projects, providing a wealth of real world experience as well as helping us organise and run unique tests in the lab and the field.

Dr Vikki Edmondson
BSc (Hons) MEng, PhD, CEng, FICE, MIStructE, MIAT, FCIHT, FIHE, FCMI, CMgr, PGCE, FHEA
Consultant
Vikki is an associate professor at Northumbria University, having previously spent two decades in industry in a range of fields including: nuclear, rail, highways, water, energy and structures.
Vikki collaborates with SCIT on several projects, primarily a joint project investigating structure cladding interaction in large portal frames, where the primary framing system is composed of cold formed steel members. She is also involved in remote sensing of civil infrastructure including “big sheds”.
